Geoffrey Mutai to defend at Boston where he ran the fastest ever marathon
Geoffrey Mutai (KEN), 31, who created headlines worldwide when he won the 2011 Boston Marathon in a sensational time of 2:03:02 making it "the fastest marathon ever run" is back to defend his title.
[However the said time cannot be ratified by IAAF as a world record due to the elevation drop and point to point measurements of the Boston course]
The 116th Boston Marathon will be flagged off coming Monday 16 April as the first stop of the World Marathon Majors (WMM) series
