Among the list of missing elite athletes who will not be competing in the 14th IAAF World Championships  Moscow 2013 Aug 10 to 18 so far are :

Afasa Powell (JAM) - ex WR holder 100m - did not qualify - drug test
Yohan Blake (JAM) - reigning 100m World champion - hamstring injury
David Rudisha (KEN) - reigning 800m World champion - knee injury
Blanka Vlasic (CRO) - 2007 2009 World HJ champion - old injury
Jessica Ennis-Hill (GBR) - Olympic heptathlon champion - injury
Veronica Campbell-Brown (JAM) - reigning 200m World champion - positive drug test
Sanya Richards-Ross (USA) - 400m 2009 World champion, 2012 Olympic champion - injury
Liu Xiang (CHN) - 110mH ex WR holder 2007 World champion, 2004 Olympic champion - injury
Dayron Robles (CUB) - ex 110mH WR holder, 2008 Olympic champion - banned by Cuba
