Jamaica suffer a major blow when Asafa Powell has to withdraw from the 100m line up due to a groin injury and his place has been replaced by Michael Frater.
However he may recover in time to join and defend the 4x100m relay title in the LAST event of the meet on 4 September
The traditional closing event of 4x400m relay has been replaced by 4x100m for the first time this time
